History of Karbala Nowgawan Sadat

The Karbala Nowgawan Sadat was built by Syed Irshad Ali s/o Syed Sarfraz Ali in 1876. He had four sons.His two sons Dr. Najaf Ali and Dr. Khadam Ali went to London for education. Another two sons Hadi Ali and Sajjad Ali lived in Nowgawan Sadat with their father.

Unfortunately Dr. Najaf Ali and Dr. Khadam Ali got missed in London. Also one of two sons who lived in Nowgawan Sadat died before marriage and another died after marriage. Both of them had no child.


After this tragedy, Irshad Ali prayed to God that if his two sons returned back to home then he would built Karbala. After some time he received a letter from his sons. They wrote that they were well.

So Mr. Irshad Ali started to built Karbala. After some time his two sons returned back to Nowgawan Sadat with medical degree. They married in Nowgawan Sadat. Dr. Najaf Ali had no child after marriage, while the younger son Dr. Khadam Ali had a son (Abdul Rauf) and one daughter ( Kulsoom bano) after marriage.

Kulsoom Bano married to Mohd. Akbar s/o Syed Mohd. Hasan. Abdul Rauf went abroad for education. Kulsoom Bano and her husband constructed the Karbala till Abdul Rauf come back from abroad.

After completing the education, Abdul Rauf returned to India. He migrated to Pakistan after some time. Before migrating to Pakistan, he made a WAKF(trust) for the Karbala. Following were nominated trustees of that trust and they were bounded by some conditions on 4th September, 1970 viz. Faizul Husain , Abul Hasan, Akbar husain all sons of Tasawur Husain.

According to conditions, he delegated the full authority of Karbala to Abul Hasan s/o Tasawur Husain. Mr. Abul Hasan did some excellent work for Karbala in his life. He purchased approximately one Acre of land outside the Karbala wall.

After Abul Hasan, Mr. Afsar Husain is doing work for Karbala. Presently he is the Mutavalli, the trustee of Karbala.
